# Vivitar DRC100 vs Vivitar Mobile Reader

The clearest difference is rating: Vivitar DRC100 at 2.0 against Vivitar Mobile Reader's 1.7. Vivitar Mobile Reader's advantage is update cadence (every 4 months vs every 15 months) and ratings volume (826 vs 34). Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Vivitar DRC100 holds the better App Store score, 2.0 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vivitar Mobile Reader has 826 ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Vivitar DRC100's written reviews are positive against 12% of Vivitar Mobile Reader's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
