# Writer Assistant (Wassi) vs Plotten

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Writer Assistant (Wassi) at 72% against Plotten's 20%. Writer Assistant (Wassi) also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 17.0). Plotten's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 3.8) and update cadence (every 4 days vs monthly). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Writer Assistant (Wassi) sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Plotten sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Plotten holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 81 and 50 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Writer Assistant (Wassi)'s written reviews are positive against 20% of Plotten's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Writer Assistant (Wassi) ships an update monthly, Plotten every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
