# FairyNest vs WLED Pro

The clearest difference is rating: WLED Pro at 4.3 against FairyNest's 2.0. FairyNest's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and review sentiment (23% vs 9%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WLED Pro sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. FairyNest asks for nothing beyond the download.

WLED Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FairyNest has 87 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 23% of FairyNest's written reviews are positive against 9% of WLED Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FairyNest ships an update every 2 months, WLED Pro every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
