# CodaMusic vs Sheba Music App

The clearest difference is rating: CodaMusic at 4.6 against Sheba Music App's 4.0. CodaMusic also leads on ratings volume (1.7K vs 4). Sheba Music App's advantage is monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and review sentiment (100% vs 66%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CodaMusic sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Sheba Music App sells 21 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CodaMusic holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CodaMusic has 1.7K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of CodaMusic's written reviews are positive against 100% of Sheba Music App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CodaMusic ships an update every 3 weeks, Sheba Music App every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
