# BriskNote vs Splix

The clearest difference is rating: Splix at 4.7 against BriskNote's 3.0. Splix also leads on ratings volume (7 vs 1). BriskNote's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 15 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Splix holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Splix has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
