# EX16 vs Q3

The clearest difference is update cadence: Q3 at every 2 weeks against EX16's every 11 months. Q3 also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 12.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EX16 ships an update every 11 months, Q3 every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
