# VPN vs VPN 7

The clearest difference is review sentiment: VPN 7 at 100% against VPN's 50%. VPN 7 also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). VPN's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 3.9) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and VPN 7 sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 93 and 19 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of VPN's written reviews are positive against 100% of VPN 7's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VPN ships an update every 2 weeks, VPN 7 every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
