# Period Tracker & Ovulation App vs Photo Widget

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Photo Widget at none against Period Tracker & Ovulation App's 5. Period Tracker & Ovulation App's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (3.4K vs 430). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Period Tracker & Ovulation App sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Photo Widget asks for nothing beyond the download.

Period Tracker & Ovulation App holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Period Tracker & Ovulation App has 3.4K ratings behind it against 430, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of Period Tracker & Ovulation App's written reviews are positive against 78% of Photo Widget's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Period Tracker & Ovulation App ships an update every 3 weeks, Photo Widget fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
