# Planimeter vs Focus Clock

The clearest difference is price: Focus Clock at Free against Planimeter's $1.99. Focus Clock also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly) and review sentiment (69% vs 57%). Planimeter's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (115 vs 20). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Focus Clock is free to download; Planimeter costs $1.99 up front. Planimeter sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Focus Clock sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Planimeter holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Planimeter has 115 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Planimeter's written reviews are positive against 69% of Focus Clock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Planimeter ships an update monthly, Focus Clock fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
