# Real Member vs Case

Real Member and Case both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Real Member's written reviews are positive against 60% of Case's. Real Member also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and device support (3 vs 1). Case's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months). On price, rating and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Real Member against 4.9 for Case. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Case has 1K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Real Member's written reviews are positive against 60% of Case's.

Real Member ships an update every 5 months, Case fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
