# SOLARMAN Smart vs Tank IOT

The clearest difference is rating: Tank IOT at 5.0 against SOLARMAN Smart's 4.6. Tank IOT also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). SOLARMAN Smart's advantage is ratings volume (5.8K vs 2) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Tank IOT holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SOLARMAN Smart has 5.8K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SOLARMAN Smart ships an update every 2 weeks, Tank IOT every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
