# Secure Notes vs WanderX

The clearest difference is monetization model: Secure Notes at free with in-app purchases against WanderX's subscription. Secure Notes also leads on ratings volume (716 vs 1). WanderX's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 6 days vs fortnightly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Secure Notes sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and WanderX sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WanderX holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Secure Notes has 716 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Secure Notes ships an update fortnightly, WanderX every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
