# Secure Notes vs OffMemory

The clearest difference is rating: OffMemory at 5.0 against Secure Notes's 4.6. OffMemory also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly). Secure Notes's advantage is ratings volume (719 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Secure Notes sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and OffMemory sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

OffMemory holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Secure Notes has 719 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Secure Notes ships an update fortnightly, OffMemory every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
