# Gemsona Maker vs Anime Avatar Maker

The clearest difference is rating: Anime Avatar Maker at 4.7 against Gemsona Maker's 4.1. Gemsona Maker's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (74% vs 48%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Gemsona Maker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Anime Avatar Maker sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Anime Avatar Maker holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 896 and 1.5K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Gemsona Maker's written reviews are positive against 48% of Anime Avatar Maker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Gemsona Maker ships an update every 10 days, Anime Avatar Maker every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
