# Random Notification vs FlowText

The clearest difference is ads: FlowText at none against Random Notification's shown. Random Notification's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.2). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Random Notification sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and FlowText sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Random Notification ships an update every 2 months, FlowText every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
