# Grayland vs Katsu Kat

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Katsu Kat at none against Grayland's 1. Katsu Kat also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (92% vs 82%). Grayland's advantage is ratings volume (806 vs 10) and rating (4.5 vs 4.3). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Grayland sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Katsu Kat asks for nothing beyond the download.

Grayland holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Grayland has 806 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of Grayland's written reviews are positive against 92% of Katsu Kat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Grayland ships an update every 8 months, Katsu Kat every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
