# CKClock vs When

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: When at none against CKClock's 1. When also leads on ratings volume (28 vs 2) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 17.6). CKClock's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CKClock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. When asks for nothing beyond the download.

CKClock holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: When has 28 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of CKClock's written reviews are positive against 90% of When's.

CKClock ships an update every 9 days, When weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
