# Laundry Needs vs Legacy Laundry

The clearest difference is update cadence: Laundry Needs at every 2 months against Legacy Laundry's every 14 months. Laundry Needs also leads on ratings volume (15 vs 2) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 13.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Laundry Needs against 5.0 for Legacy Laundry. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Laundry Needs has 15 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Laundry Needs ships an update every 2 months, Legacy Laundry every 14 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
