# Shift Calendar vs FIFO Clock

The clearest difference is ads: Shift Calendar at none against FIFO Clock's shown. Shift Calendar also leads on ratings volume (321 vs 1) and review sentiment (65% vs 56%). FIFO Clock's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shift Calendar sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per year and FIFO Clock sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FIFO Clock holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shift Calendar has 321 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Shift Calendar's written reviews are positive against 56% of FIFO Clock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Shift Calendar ships an update every 2 weeks, FIFO Clock every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
