# RenoPlan vs Napkin Plan

The clearest difference is rating: RenoPlan at 4.5 against Napkin Plan's 4.0. RenoPlan also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (753 vs 6). Napkin Plan's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RenoPlan sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Napkin Plan sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RenoPlan holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RenoPlan has 753 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 62% of RenoPlan's written reviews are positive against 50% of Napkin Plan's.

RenoPlan ships an update fortnightly, Napkin Plan every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
