# Osmo Math Wizard vs SmartGames Playroom

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Osmo Math Wizard at none against SmartGames Playroom's 3. Osmo Math Wizard also leads on ratings volume (181 vs 3) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 2 months). SmartGames Playroom's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (50% vs 37%). On price, rating, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SmartGames Playroom sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Osmo Math Wizard asks for nothing beyond the download.

Osmo Math Wizard holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Osmo Math Wizard has 181 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 37% of Osmo Math Wizard's written reviews are positive against 50% of SmartGames Playroom's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Osmo Math Wizard ships an update every 5 weeks, SmartGames Playroom every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
