# Ringtones vs Nota Ringtones

The clearest difference is monetization model: Nota Ringtones at freemium against Ringtones's subscription. Ringtones's advantage is ratings volume (42K vs 1.5K) and chart position (#57 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ringtones sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Nota Ringtones sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Ringtones against 4.4 for Nota Ringtones. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ringtones has 42K ratings behind it against 1.5K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 34% of Ringtones's written reviews are positive against 28% of Nota Ringtones's.

Ringtones ships an update every 2 weeks, Nota Ringtones every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 4, 2026.
