# Session vs nMobile

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: nMobile at none against Session's 3. nMobile also leads on review sentiment (92% vs 61%) and rating (4.8 vs 4.4). Session's advantage is ratings volume (5.4K vs 21) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Session sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per month. nMobile asks for nothing beyond the download.

nMobile holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Session has 5.4K ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 61% of Session's written reviews are positive against 92% of nMobile's.

Session ships an update fortnightly, nMobile every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
