# PD Labs vs Lingo by Abbott

The clearest difference is rating: Lingo by Abbott at 4.5 against PD Labs's 3.0. Lingo by Abbott also leads on ratings volume (8.1K vs 2) and chart position (#164 vs unranked). PD Labs's advantage is iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Lingo by Abbott holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lingo by Abbott has 8.1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of PD Labs's written reviews are positive against 44% of Lingo by Abbott's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
