# 步步阅读 vs TingPic

The clearest difference is review sentiment: 步步阅读 at 100% against TingPic's 50%. 步步阅读 also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (18 vs 5). TingPic's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 步步阅读 sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and TingPic sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TingPic holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 18 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of 步步阅读's written reviews are positive against 50% of TingPic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

步步阅读 ships an update every 5 weeks, TingPic weekly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
