# FriendGammon vs LineSpell

The clearest difference is review sentiment: LineSpell at 100% against FriendGammon's 53%. LineSpell also leads on rating (5.0 vs 3.8) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). FriendGammon's advantage is ratings volume (70 vs 12). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FriendGammon sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and LineSpell sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LineSpell holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FriendGammon has 70 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two.
