# Life Score vs Side Notes

The clearest difference is update cadence: Life Score at every 2 days against Side Notes's every 2 months. Life Score also leads on iOS requirement (12.2 vs 17.0). Side Notes's advantage is ratings volume (22 vs 4). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.0 for Life Score against 3.9 for Side Notes. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Side Notes has 22 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Life Score ships an update every 2 days, Side Notes every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
