# Fragments OCR vs PDF Scanner

The clearest difference is rating: Fragments OCR at 5.0 against PDF Scanner's 4.5. Fragments OCR also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (100% vs 82%). PDF Scanner's advantage is ratings volume (28 vs 5) and device support. On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fragments OCR sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and PDF Scanner sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fragments OCR holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDF Scanner has 28 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Fragments OCR's written reviews are positive against 82% of PDF Scanner's.
