# D Video vs NDI HX Camera

The clearest difference is rating: NDI HX Camera at 4.4 against D Video's 3.5. NDI HX Camera also leads on ratings volume (529 vs 8). D Video's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NDI HX Camera sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. D Video asks for nothing beyond the download.

NDI HX Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NDI HX Camera has 529 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of D Video's written reviews are positive against 11% of NDI HX Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

D Video ships an update every 3 weeks, NDI HX Camera every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
