# Brick Board vs TypeStrip

The clearest difference is rating: TypeStrip at 5.0 against Brick Board's 4.6. TypeStrip also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Brick Board's advantage is ratings volume (225 vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TypeStrip holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brick Board has 225 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.
