# Spark vs Sisyphus Tasks

The clearest difference is rating: Sisyphus Tasks at 5.0 against Spark's 4.5. Spark's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (52 vs 6). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sisyphus Tasks holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spark has 52 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Spark's written reviews are positive against 75% of Sisyphus Tasks's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Spark ships an update weekly, Sisyphus Tasks every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
