# Speak Up vs ClassLink Verify

The clearest difference is rating: ClassLink Verify at 3.5 against Speak Up's 1.8. ClassLink Verify also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). Speak Up's advantage is review sentiment (21% vs 0%) and ratings volume (203 vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ClassLink Verify holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speak Up has 203 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 21% of Speak Up's written reviews are positive against 0% of ClassLink Verify's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
