# Smart Remote vs Dromote

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Smart Remote at 70% against Dromote's 3%. Smart Remote also leads on ratings volume (585 vs 26) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). Dromote's advantage is rating (4.1 vs 2.9) and iOS requirement (12.3 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Smart Remote sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Dromote sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dromote holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smart Remote has 585 ratings behind it against 26, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Smart Remote's written reviews are positive against 3% of Dromote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Smart Remote ships an update every 2 months, Dromote every 5 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
