# Gathering STL vs Proper Cannabis

The clearest difference is monetization model: Gathering STL at free against Proper Cannabis's free with in-app purchases. Gathering STL also leads on device support (4 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 18.6). Proper Cannabis's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 14) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Gathering STL holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Proper Cannabis has 1.3K ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Gathering STL ships an update every 2 months, Proper Cannabis every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
