# Sharecode vs Share

The clearest difference is rating: Share at 5.0 against Sharecode's 4.3. Sharecode's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Share sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Sharecode asks for nothing beyond the download.

Share holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sharecode has 44 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Sharecode ships an update every 4 days, Share weekly. Both last shipped on September 30, 2026.
