# Digital LED Clock vs Flip Clock

The clearest difference is price: Flip Clock at Free against Digital LED Clock's $1.99. Flip Clock also leads on rating (4.4 vs 3.0) and update cadence (monthly vs every 40 months). Digital LED Clock's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Flip Clock is free to download; Digital LED Clock costs $1.99 up front. Flip Clock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Digital LED Clock asks for nothing beyond the download.

Flip Clock holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flip Clock has 354 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Digital LED Clock's written reviews are positive against 45% of Flip Clock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Digital LED Clock ships an update every 40 months, Flip Clock monthly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
