# Pause vs PrayedUp

The clearest difference is ads: PrayedUp at none against Pause's shown. PrayedUp also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Pause's advantage is ratings volume (5.9K vs 24). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Pause against 4.9 for PrayedUp. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pause has 5.9K ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 98% of Pause's written reviews are positive against 100% of PrayedUp's.

Pause ships an update every 2 months, PrayedUp weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
