# Pause vs Fourshadow

The clearest difference is ads: Fourshadow at none against Pause's shown. Fourshadow also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 2 months) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Pause's advantage is ratings volume (5.9K vs 2) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Pause against 5.0 for Fourshadow. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pause has 5.9K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pause ships an update every 2 months, Fourshadow daily. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
