# Optics Trainer vs Brain Tool Kit

The clearest difference is price: Optics Trainer at Free against Brain Tool Kit's $17.99. Optics Trainer also leads on ratings volume (305 vs 6) and update cadence (every 8 days vs monthly). Brain Tool Kit's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (86% vs 67%). On in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Optics Trainer is free to download; Brain Tool Kit costs $17.99 up front. Optics Trainer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Brain Tool Kit sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Optics Trainer holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Optics Trainer has 305 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Optics Trainer's written reviews are positive against 86% of Brain Tool Kit's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Optics Trainer ships an update every 8 days, Brain Tool Kit monthly. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
