# xDelete vs Dot

The clearest difference is ads: xDelete at none against Dot's shown. xDelete also leads on ratings volume (498 vs 3) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 weeks). Dot's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs paid) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Dot holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: xDelete has 498 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

xDelete ships an update every 10 days, Dot every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
