# Mend vs When

The clearest difference is ads: Mend at none against When's shown. When's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 4 months) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 12.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Mend ships an update every 4 months, When weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
