# Pure Barre vs Ritual Studios

Pure Barre and Ritual Studios both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Ritual Studios's written reviews are positive against 45% of Pure Barre's. Ritual Studios also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2). Pure Barre's advantage is ratings volume (42K vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pure Barre sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $29.99 per month. Ritual Studios asks for nothing beyond the download.

Ritual Studios holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pure Barre has 42K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 45% of Pure Barre's written reviews are positive against 100% of Ritual Studios's.

Pure Barre ships an update every 3 weeks, Ritual Studios every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
