# Phazr vs Spectra

The clearest difference is update cadence: Spectra at fortnightly against Phazr's every 2 months. Spectra also leads on ratings volume (1.5K vs 137) and chart position (#141 vs unranked). Phazr's advantage is review sentiment (82% vs 65%). On rating, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Phazr costs $3.99 and Spectra $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Phazr against 4.6 for Spectra. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spectra has 1.5K ratings behind it against 137, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 82% of Phazr's written reviews are positive against 65% of Spectra's.

Phazr ships an update every 2 months, Spectra fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
