# iRASmobile vs DronePass

The clearest difference is monetization model: iRASmobile at free against DronePass's freemium. iRASmobile also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 17.6). DronePass's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

iRASmobile ships an update every 2 months, DronePass every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
