# Tracecolor vs Relanote

The clearest difference is rating: Relanote at 4.2 against Tracecolor's 3.0. Relanote also leads on ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tracecolor sells 14 one-off in-app purchases and Relanote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Relanote holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Relanote has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 0% and 0% positive.

Tracecolor ships an update every 42 months, Relanote every 33 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
