# Eclipse vs TI Timer

The clearest difference is price: TI Timer at Free against Eclipse's $9.99. TI Timer also leads on rating (5.0 vs 3.2) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). Eclipse's advantage is ratings volume (15 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

TI Timer is free to download; Eclipse costs $9.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TI Timer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Eclipse has 15 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Eclipse ships an update every 3 months, TI Timer fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
