# Cipchat vs Shaberi

The clearest difference is rating: Cipchat at 4.8 against Shaberi's 2.7. Cipchat also leads on ratings volume (60 vs 3). Shaberi's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 20%) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cipchat holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cipchat has 60 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Cipchat's written reviews are positive against 50% of Shaberi's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cipchat ships an update every 2 months, Shaberi monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
