# Cipchat vs BubbleX

The clearest difference is rating: Cipchat at 4.8 against BubbleX's 2.9. Cipchat also leads on ratings volume (60 vs 18). BubbleX's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cipchat holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 60 and 18 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Cipchat's written reviews are positive against 28% of BubbleX's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cipchat ships an update every 2 months, BubbleX every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
