# Linguado vs Elele

The clearest difference is ads: Linguado at none against Elele's shown. Linguado also leads on review sentiment (90% vs 64%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). Elele's advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 130). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Linguado sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Elele sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $2.89 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Linguado against 4.6 for Elele. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Elele has 1.5K ratings behind it against 130, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 90% of Linguado's written reviews are positive against 64% of Elele's.

Linguado ships an update fortnightly, Elele monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
