# Linguado vs Link Ling

The clearest difference is rating: Link Ling at 5.0 against Linguado's 4.6. Link Ling also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs fortnightly) and iOS requirement (14.0.0 vs 16.4). Linguado's advantage is ratings volume (130 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Linguado sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Link Ling sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Link Ling holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Linguado has 130 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Linguado ships an update fortnightly, Link Ling every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and June 5, 2026 respectively.
